Craig Watson is a Christian hip-hop artist from Philadelphia, PA, whose music is rooted in transparency, transformation, and unwavering faith. His journey into music began at just 8 years old when a malfunctioning pop radio station unexpectedly introduced him to hip-hop. What started as a casual interest quickly grew into a deep passion—by age 10, Craig was freestyling at lunch tables, and by 14, performing in school talent shows with growing confidence and skill.
During the pandemic quarantine in his 8th-grade year, Craig channeled his energy into writing verses and sharing music online, developing a unique sound that blends alternative hip-hop with thoughtful lyricism, versatile flows, and authentic storytelling.
Craig’s artistry is shaped by personal battles with abandonment, depression, and identity. A life-altering moment—what he believes was an angelic intervention that saved him from an oncoming car—marked a spiritual awakening. It confirmed to him that his life had divine purpose. Formerly known as “Unwanted,” Craig eventually chose to release music under his real name, a declaration of his renewed identity in Christ: known, loved, and chosen.
